peerlessly Mary Hyre’s next letter to John was actually a clipping, looking back on her 25 years at The Messenger, in Athens, Ohio.  It’s a somewhat morbid article, but I suppose she had a lot of “grief, tragedy or loss” to cover.  It appeared on Monday, May 8, 1967, and was mailed the same day.
